Dave and I have tried to start a few traditions with the kids from the beginning...hosting a halloween party for their friends...going to Burts pumpkin farm every year...looking at christmas lights during the holiday season...going to a christmas event/performance...disney on ice....trips to the zoo...and during the summer taking a trip to stone mountain to see the Laser show. This summer we haven't really had much family time...so we decided since I was feeling better we would make the trip to the "big mountain." We didn't fool with a picnic and instead stopped for dinner before we got there...of course I packed a bunch of junky snacks (as Landon likes to say). Thankfully I did bring along a huge umbrella b/c it rained about an hour before the laser show started....you know us...it didn't ruin our good time and of course the kids thought it was funny that mommy and daddy were wet and they were not. At least we kept them dry and had chairs to sit in. We had a great time just relaxing on the lawn and watching the show...and of course Landon loved the fireworks. I packed p.j.'s and they both fell asleep in the van on the way home. Making memories 1 day at a time.
