My little man started kindergarten today! He is such a cutie pie...he was so excited which helped ease my fears. I got everything prepared last night so this morning would hopefully run smoothly and it did. Today was also Dave's first day back with his students and Kendall's first day as a "big girl" at Mrs. Robins.
I got up and fixed cinnamon rolls...both of the kids favorite breakfast...of course I made them drink a huge glass of milk along with it! They were both excited to start the day. Landon's teacher was great and very patient with all the pictures the parents were taking. I got some great pictures. I was so anxious all day...was he able to get his carton of milk open...yes....would he make friends with his classmates...yes...would he get on the RIGHT bus...yes! I worry way too much...at least according to Dave.
With me working and Dave teaching/coaching we can't pick Landon up from school...he gets out at 2:30. Therefore, he gets to ride the school bus with 9 of the other kids that go to Mrs. Robins. He has been looking forward to riding the bus and had the best time today with all of his buddies from Mrs. Robins. He said it was "awesome" mommy. I also asked him about his new classmates and who he sat next to, etc....his response "Oh my gosh mommy they are girls!"
So as the years go by we have many memories to hold on too and great ones to look forward too!
