Dave and I feel that it is really important to not have the kids see me laying around all the time. It was highly unusual to see me laying around the house before now. We have told them that the baby is sick and that this is how mommy can help make it better. It has been a huge adjustment for them to have me out of commission. Thank goodness for so many great family and friends and their wonderful mimi and daddy.
I love spending time with the kids and look forward to enjoying all the fun summer activities with them. We had a beach vacation and a lot of small trips planned. All of that has changed now....Dave has been great with all of the changes. He has taken the kids swimming almost every day and has done lots of fun things with the kids close to home. He read in the paper the other day that there was a sunflower field close by and took the kids to see it. He has been great about taking pictures for me...that way I can at least feel like I know kind of what is going on! So far they have enjoyed their summer and are adjusting to the changes quite well.
